Diana Groffen, Director of the Central Okanagan Charitable Gaming Association, seen here with David Sheach, Executive Director of the BC Association of Charitable Gaming, gave a presentation at the Shatford Centre on Oct 25thto an appreciative audience. COCGA is a not-for-profit organization with over one hundred members in the Central Okanagan. Our mission is to create awareness about the BCCommunity Gaming Grant program and offer support to community groups in the Okanagan region and the Kootenays who are applying to the program.

Membership:

Any organization who has applied for or received BC Charitable Gaming funding and is interested in the objectives of the association may become a member of Central Okanagan Charitable Gaming Association.
• There are no membership fees.
• To Become A Member, an organization must designate one official representative and one alternate in writing to the association at cocga.com@gmail.com .(This info would include name/e-mail address/phone #/mailing address for each person.) 

BC Gaming application periods happen throughout the year according to the following schedule:
Arts and Culture/Sports –
 Apply from Feb 1 – May 31 / Final notification: Aug 31
Public Safety/Environment –  Apply from Jul 1 – Aug 31 /  Final notification: Nov 30
Human and Social Services –  Apply from Aug 1 – Nov 30 /  Final notification: Feb 28
