Strings the Thing


The program
For intermediate to advanced string players at a minimum level of:
Violin/Viola: Grade 5 RCM/Book 4 Suzuki
Cello: Grade 4 RCM/Book 3 Suzuki

Chamber Music
Each student will participate in chamber music groups – rehearsing and being coached every morning. Ensembles will be formed according to age and ability.
Master Classes 

Registration for the senior program includes a private lesson with one of the instructors.

Note: Faculty will play in and mentor each section.

Strings the Thing Orchestra will feature a variety of repertoire from the classics to fun arrangements.  All students will be invited to be part of two chamber music groups.  In addition, we will offer masterclasses which will combine sectional rehearsals with technique, solo repertoire and specific coaching tailored to the needs of the student.

BBQ & Fiddling Jamboree – This fun night is scheduled for the Monday evening and is part of the registration fee.  Guests are welcome for a small additional charge.

Celebration Student Concert – On Friday afternoon, everyone participates in this exciting concert to wrap up Strings the Thing 2017!
