Stitch and Play
Let your imagination out to play using fabric as your medium. Gayle Walford is a textile artist who specializes in upcycling fabric and developing fun ways to use it. In this class participants will choose a relatively simple item to stitch, either creating their own fabric made from scraps, or embellishing their stitched creation with fabric markers, paints, ink dyes and more. Samples and patterns will be available to suit many tastes, including bracelets, bags and wall hangings. This class is an invitation to create a one of a kind piece you can hang, wear or carry.
Basic sewing skills are required and participants are required to bring their own sewing machine, thread, bobbins and fabric scissors. All other materials will be provided.
