The opening of the exciting summer exhibition ‘OSSA ~ OSA Faculty Connections’ at the Shatford Centre was well attended.
In partnership with the Penticton Art Gallery, the Okanagan School of the Arts Faculty Exhibition opened Tuesday evening at the Shatford with a collection of talented and diverse artists, including: Angie McIntosh, Anne-Marie Harvey, Bethany Handfield, Bruce Crawford, George Traicheff, Ingrid Mann-Willis, Jan Crawford, Jenny Long, Nel Witteman, Ralph Critchlow Russ and Stasiuk.
Through the Penticton Art Gallery’s Permanent Collection, art work by former instructors are part of this exhibit, with OSSA faculty: Brian Fisher, Frances Harris, Frances Hatfield, Francine Gravel, George Angliss, Jack Davis, Judith Foster, Keljko Kujundzic, Lillian Broca, Percy Ritchie, Phil Clark and Toni Onley.
Over the 57 years that the Okanagan (Summer) School of the Arts has been in existence, talented and inspiring teachers have transferred their enthusiasm and love of the arts to their students. Many professional artists have made a world of difference for aspiring individuals wanting to practice and learn new techniques. OSA is very fortunate to have such a legacy of instructors.
The show will run through the summer until the first week in September.
